For the First Time.. Russia Prevents Iranian Aircraft from Landing in Hmeimim

Russian authorities at Hmeimim airport in Latakia refused to receive a Mahan Air Iranian aircraft after it entered Syrian airspace. Sawt Al-Asima website tracked flight IRM174's path as it returned to Tehran after circling over rural Damascus.

Special sources indicated the possibility that the plane was carrying weapons shipments intended for Hezbollah and Iranian militias in Syria, amid Israeli threats to Damascus and Aleppo airports similar to those directed at Beirut airport.

Sources revealed Iranian-Israeli coordination through mediators regarding recent Iranian delegation flights to Syria, given their connection to negotiation files carried by the Iranian Supreme Leader's advisor and Defense Minister.

The Russian and Israeli sides reached an undeclared agreement to spare civilian airports from bombardment and restore their operation, in exchange for prohibiting their use in transporting weapons to Hezbollah.

The Wall Street Journal quoted sources saying that the Israeli army discovered Russian weapons in Hezbollah warehouses, including anti-tank weapons manufactured in 2020 that were stored at Russian sites inside Syria.
