Budget of Masoud Bezhiskian: An Oppressive Budget Mainly for the Guards with a 200% Increase
محمد الموسوي

Iran's security and defense budget has increased by 200%, alongside executions that match this increase, and the scandal involving representatives and governors from minorities.

Do not observe and watch the events from afar, as you may miss much. Do not be deceived by what the images suggest; while some images are poignant in their expression, most in Iran are misleading. A simple digging into the hearts and souls of the people reveals mountains of complaints and painful worries of the living hearts. It is enough to stand in the corridors of courts and in front of prisons to hear and see the astounding realities. If you reside far from the elite among the public, who constitute the vast majority, do not look at their movements during the day; rather, listen to their concerns, disputes, and conflicts that are exchanged in the silence of the night. The night, which transforms its stillness into complaints and moans about the dire situation and poverty, quickly turns into beating and violence—not out of a desire for violence, but due to helplessness and oppression, unable to hear any complaints related to living conditions amid complete inability to meet the most basic life requirements. If the ruling authority of darkness in Iran had a shred of decency and a sense of responsibility, it would look fairly and wisely at the cases pending in the courts and the vast number of prisoners. It would find that most cases relate to its oppressive rule, which not only infringes on the freedom of the people but also affects their dignity, honor, and livelihood. Therefore, it could resolve problems and crises from their root, as long as it has the ability to allocate such immense budgets. But how can those accustomed to practicing tyranny, killing, stealing, and plundering feel the suffering of the people for whom they are responsible? As for the clerical regime, the matter does not concern them, and they adopt the stance of the dull sympathizer who lacks principles and honor. Some sympathizers may make a fuss over others, but these lack honor, shame, and feeling, and they praise their God that non-governmental capital has been managing life in Iran from the beginning. Despite their greed, they are counted among the "harmful benefits" as they act as a blind, ignorant, despotic shepherd of the flock.

**Important Questions That Must Be Raised:**
Has the clerical regime allocated this budget increase to confront those who have revealed their secrets and tarnished their honor, or will they use it to reward their spies, enhance their capabilities, and raise their status in the dictionaries and records of betrayal...?
Will the suffering of the Iranian people end with a 200% increase in the security and defense budget, most of which goes to the clerical guards, while the rest is allocated to oppressive agencies to enhance their capabilities and efficiency through technologies imported from the duplicitous West...?
Why did they not raise the budget for development and social welfare by this amount to mitigate the accelerating rates of poverty, hunger, unemployment, and poor services, or at least ensure timely payment of salaries and entitlements to workers in all productive sectors such as education, health, and mining, or lower the prices of fuel and the absurd taxes imposed on the people...? In other words, they have imposed death, oppression, corruption, poverty, and hunger on the people; they should reduce taxes and fuel prices.
Strange, wondrous, and humiliating pictures and tragedies plague humanity in Iran, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and all political versions of the Velayat-e Faqih in the region... But the most miserable images are those we see in Iran under a system that has entrenched misery through both horizontal and vertical expansion. It was once unimaginable for women and children of both genders to engage in hard and arduous professions for mere survival. It was once unimaginable, yet it has happened and become commonplace due to desperate needs and the authorities' failure to care for their citizens. Among these women are those from Iranian Kurdistan who work as porters, a profession some call "carrying" and which involves the risk of death or imprisonment; yet the drive for life and dignity diminishes the burden of death and imprisonment.

**The Farce of Representatives and Governors from Minorities:**
All who have served the clerical regime from among minorities are traitors to their peoples and to human values. When you converse with many of them, you find them to be worthless beings, nothing but tools in the hands of the regime that plays and maneuvers with them. Among these are the Kurds, Arabs, or Baluchis whom the clerical regime appoints as representatives in the council or as governors or senior officials. Are they truly representatives of this segment of the population, or are they loyal to the regime, lacking allegiance to their roots? Instead of appointing a representative from the Kurdish or Baluchi or Arab population, or even an Azari president
