ation of Israeli Airstrikes: Targeting Hezbollah Leaders in Southern Lebanon
غارة إسرائيلية تستهدف مسؤول المسيرات في حزب الله

In a new strike, the fourth against Hezbollah in a week, intense Israeli air raids continue on southern Lebanon, with the southern suburbs of Beirut witnessing a raid targeting the Qaim neighborhood near "Hadi Nasrallah" road, adjacent to the Jamous area, where the commander of the Rajwan unit in the party, Ibrahim Aqil, was assassinated last week.

A loud explosion was heard in the area, accompanied by the rising billows of thick smoke.

For its part, the Israeli military announced the execution of "precise and targeted strikes" on the Lebanese capital, clarifying that it targeted the commander of the aerial unit in Hezbollah, who is responsible for the drones.

At the same time, a source close to Hezbollah reported that one of its leaders was targeted in the Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs. The source explained that the strike targeted the commander of the drone unit, according to what was conveyed by the French Press Agency.

Sources from Al Arabiya/Al Hadath revealed that the targeted leader goes by the name Muhammad Hussein Sarour, also known by the nom de guerre "Abu Saleh."

The raid was carried out using three Israeli missiles launched by an F-35 aircraft, near a location believed to contain several facilities belonging to Hezbollah. This scene is quite similar to the assassination of Aqil and Ahmad Wahbi along with 14 members of the Rajwan unit last week, a unit considered the elite force in the party. Additionally, Ibrahim Qabisi, the commander of Hezbollah’s missile system, was targeted just two days ago in Ghobeiri (September 24), and there was an assassination attempt on senior leader Ali Korki, the commander of the southern Lebanon front in the party and its third in command, a few days prior (September 23).
