Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Expresses Concern Over Abduction of Journalist Mohammed Al-Miyahi by Houthis

The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate expressed its deep concern regarding the ongoing abduction of journalist Mohammed Al-Miyahi by the Houthi group in Sana'a, where he has been held for over a month under mysterious and alarming circumstances.
The syndicate confirmed that Al-Miyahi, who was abducted from his home on September 20, has not been allowed to communicate with his family or receive visitors since his arrest.
According to information obtained by the syndicate, Al-Miyahi is facing retaliatory measures from the Houthi group, as they continue to prevent contact with him and disclose his health status.
The syndicate held the de facto authorities in Sana'a fully responsible for his safety, calling for the immediate disclosure of his condition and the circumstances of his detention.
The syndicate noted that this abduction is part of a series of violations against journalists in Yemen, warning against the repetition of the same repressive scenario experienced by journalist Wahid Al-Sufi, who has been forcibly disappeared since 2015.
The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate called for an end to the forced disappearance of all detained journalists and their urgent release.
