Violent explosions shake Aleppo city

Aleppo experienced intense explosions yesterday evening, Monday, at the Artillery College. Their sounds were heard in the southwestern neighborhoods of the city. Social media users circulated photos showing smoke plumes rising from the Artillery College in the Ramousa neighborhood.

Local sources reported that the explosions resulted from a tank explosion caused by a technical malfunction, which occurred near an ammunition depot in the same college and neighborhood. In a statement, the Aleppo Governor clarified that the explosions were due to a technical fault within the college.

Firefighting teams were dispatched to the site and succeeded in extinguishing the fire, with no injuries recorded.

More than 100 high school students from across the Kingdom of Bahrain took part in the hackathon, which featured an intensive programme of training workshops and hands-on sessions. These activities were tailored to enhance participants’ critical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and team-building capabilities, while also encouraging the development of practical and sustainable solutions to contemporary challenges using modern technological tools.
