President Joe Biden's decision to allow Ukraine to use long-range missiles to strike targets within Russian territory has sparked widespread criticism, particularly from Republican Party members who view this move as a prelude to World War III. This decision comes two months before Biden officially hands over power to President-elect Donald Trump.

Trump's son commented on his X platform account: "It seems the military-industrial complex wants to ensure World War III breaks out before my father has a chance to establish peace and save lives."

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a fierce Trump supporter, criticized this decision, accusing Biden of "trying to ignite World War III before his departure by allowing Ukraine to use American long-range missiles inside Russia." She stated that "the American people expressed their clear position on November 5th that they oppose these decisions and don't want to fund or engage in any foreign wars."

This decision came after Biden approved a repeated Ukrainian request spanning months, marking a major strategic shift before his White House departure and Trump's return, who strongly criticizes U.S. aid to Ukraine. The Ukrainian President cautiously welcomed this news, considering "long-range capability" important for his army.

A senior Russian official warned this decision could trigger World War III, stating Moscow's response would be swift. These missiles would allow Ukraine to strike Russian forces' logistical sites and airfields used by bombers attacking Ukrainian territory, potentially escalating the confrontation significantly.
