Syrian Interim Government Accuses Regime and SDF of War Crimes in Al-Bab Shelling

The Syrian Interim Government has issued orders for the National Army to respond intensively to the firing positions that targeted the city of Al-Bab in eastern Aleppo countryside yesterday.

In an official statement, the interim government clarified that the attacks resulted in the death of two civilians and injured more than 15 others, most of whom were women and children. The statement confirmed that the shelling targeted protected civilian sites using over eight missiles and was carried out from areas under the joint control of Syrian regime forces, Iranian militias, and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The interim government described these violations as war crimes, calling on the international community and humanitarian organizations to condemn them and stop any material or moral support directed towards these militias, indicating that such support is being used to target innocent civilians.

In a related context, the "Joint Force" of the Syrian National Army announced that it had shelled positions belonging to the Syrian Democratic Forces in northern and eastern Aleppo countryside using artillery and rockets, in response to the shelling that targeted the city of Al-Bab. The "Joint Force" shared videos and photos documenting the targeting operations with mortar shells and Grad missiles.

The Syrian Civil Defense, known as the "White Helmets," confirmed that the shelling targeted civilian homes, in addition to the "Al-Khairat" mosque and a gas filling station. The civil defense also reported that missiles fell near a school during official hours and close to another mosque in the city.

This attack resulted in the death of two individuals and injuries to 14 others, including five children and three women. It also caused a fire in petroleum materials stored on the roof of one of the residential houses, leading to significant damage to civilian property.
