Zaido Ahmad Zaido's Passing Represents Major Loss for Syrian Community in Romania, Given His Prominent Role in Developing East-West Trade Relations
The Syrian community in Romania and Romanian-Arab Club for Culture and Media mourned the passing of one of Romania's most prominent Arab businessmen, Zaido Ahmad Zaido, who died at his Constanta home following severe heart attack.
The deceased was a prominent heir to the Zaido commercial empire, founded by his father Ahmad Zaido, extending from Russia to Britain, through Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, and Romania.
He dominated Romania's commercial scene through ownership of largest livestock trading companies, along with fleet of ships and Rabinion trucks specialized in livestock and goods transport, recently expanding into construction and real estate sectors.
The deceased was known for his honorable national positions, according to close associates. His family receives condolences at "Il Locanda Boutique" hotel in Constanta, Romania.
Zaido's passing represents major loss for Syrian community in Romania, as he was one of country's prominent Arab investors and example of success in building strong trade relations between East and West.
