Viral video clips have captured Syrian public attention, showing a masked figure belonging to the so-called "Da'wah Office" discussing an assault incident that occurred in the historic Christian neighborhood of Al-Qassaa in Damascus.

The controversial video highlighted statements from the masked individual who claimed that his preaching campaign is being conducted in full coordination with the Awqaf Committee of the interim caretaker government, denying rumors about the arrest of members from his office.

The "Verify" media platform quickly contacted the Public Relations Office at the Ministry of Awqaf to verify the accuracy of the circulating information, where the office confirmed the authenticity of the masked person's statements.

The platform raised questions about the ministry's official position regarding the spread of these preaching campaigns that raise citizens' concerns. The office explained that it would publish a clarifying statement after the minister reviews the matter, but the awaited response has not yet arrived.

Observers confirmed that these incidents reflect the interim authorities' failure to protect the religious pluralism that historically characterized Damascus, pointing to the necessity of ensuring the rights of all components.

Civil activists expressed their concern about the growing phenomenon of suspicious preaching campaigns in religiously diverse areas, warning of their implications for the social fabric.

It is worth noting that Al-Qassaa neighborhood is one of the oldest Christian neighborhoods in Damascus, known for its cultural diversity and historical peaceful coexistence between various sects and religions.
