دارة عزة غربي حلب

The toll from Russian airstrikes on the town of Darat Izza in western Aleppo has reached 3 deaths and 9 injuries, according to the Syrian Civil Defense. These attacks are part of an ongoing escalation that civilians in the area are suffering from.

Meanwhile, Syrian opposition factions launched an operation named "Deterrence of Aggression," achieving significant progress in western Aleppo countryside within just two days. They managed to capture 32 villages and strategic points over an area of 245 square kilometers, bringing them within 5 kilometers of the city of Aleppo. Among the areas captured are: al-Hota, Orm al-Kubra, Ainjarah, and Brigade 46, among others. This operation marks the first breakthrough of front lines since the ceasefire agreement in March 2020.

Syrian regime forces have suffered heavy losses in the battles around Brigade 46, with pro-regime sources reporting the deaths of more than 15 officers and soldiers. In response, regime forces, Iranian militias, and Russian aircraft escalated retaliatory strikes, targeting civilians in 16 cities and towns in northwestern Syria. These attacks utilized internationally banned weapons, including cluster munitions, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to 20 civilians, including women and children, as well as the displacement of thousands of families due to the intense shelling.
