Russia and Ukraine Shoot Down Drones in Reciprocal Battle

On Wednesday, Russian forces announced that their air defense systems shot down 32 Ukrainian drones overnight, while Ukraine reported that its air force downed 41 Russian drones.
The Russian Defense Ministry stated that air defense units successfully destroyed 32 drones over the territories of several Russian regions during the night. It explained that 11 drones were shot down over Saratov Oblast, 4 over Kursk and Rostov Oblasts, 3 over Belgorod and Bryansk, 2 over Krasnodar Krai, and 1 over Volgograd, in addition to 4 drones over the Sea of Azov basin.
On the other hand, Oleksandr Kamyshin, an advisor to the Ukrainian president, announced the targeting of a Russian oil depot serving a military airport in the Russian city of Engels, noting that the attack caused panic among Russian defenses.
The Ukrainian military confirmed that it shot down 41 Russian drones overnight, explaining that a total of 64 drones were launched by Russia, but 22 of them failed to reach their targets.
Local authorities also reported that drone debris fell on a private home in the Kyiv region, causing damage to its facade and windows, but with no casualties.
