Revolutionary WhatsApp Update Makes Communication Easier Amid Noise

The launch of voice recording to text conversion feature reflects WhatsApp's evolving strategy in meeting user needs under different circumstances
Meta's WhatsApp platform has introduced an innovative feature that converts voice content to written text, aimed at facilitating communication in noisy environments or while on the move.
Tech-specialized website "TechCrunch" reported that Apple had previously launched a similar service through its "Messages" app with the release of iOS 17.
To utilize the new feature in WhatsApp, users need to browse the settings menu, select the "Chats" section, and click on "Convert Voice Message to Text," with the option to select their preferred language.
The platform has programmed the voice content conversion mechanism to work manually by long-pressing the message and then selecting "Convert to Text," avoiding automatic conversion of incoming messages.
The company highlighted its plans to roll out the service globally in specific languages during the upcoming period, with supported languages varying according to operating system and versions.
iOS 16 users benefit from support for 12 languages including English, Arabic, French, and German, while version 17 users get six additional languages. Meanwhile, Android device support is currently limited to only four main languages.
