Limited to Radars.. Tehran Minimizes Strike Damages and Praises its Air Defenses

Iran's successive statements about limited damage reveal Tehran's desire to contain the situation and avoid escalation while saving face

New confirmations emerged about the limited impact of Israeli raids on Iran, as Iranian armed forces stated that the damage was limited to "radar systems" only.
The Iranian Armed Forces General Staff, in a statement broadcast by state television today, Saturday, revealed that the efficiency of air defenses limited losses to only some radar systems.
Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajeri reviewed the diminishing scale of damage from Israeli attacks, explaining in statements this afternoon that situations had returned to normal, noting the resumption of air traffic after a temporary suspension at dawn.
She praised the readiness of air defenses, expressing "the country's pride in its forces" according to the semi-official Mehr News Agency. Mohsen Rezaei, head of the Expediency Discernment Council and former Revolutionary Guard commander, reviewed the nature of the attack, considering it "exceeded a show of force" but "remained ineffective" in his words.
Iranian Foreign Minister Aghaji, speaking to the Supreme Leader's website, declared that "Iran's will to defend itself is limitless," and Iranian air defense revealed its response to Israeli attempts targeting areas in the west and southwest of the country.
The Israeli aircraft's targeting of military sites in the capital, Ilam, and Ahvaz was highlighted, confirming minimal losses. The Israeli military confirmed the success of its precise strikes on military facilities in various Iranian regions, indicating the targeting of about 20 sites, which Iranian sources denied.
Washington urged Tehran to maintain calm and avoid escalation, warning against a spiral of mutual responses. It's worth noting that the strikes came after 26 days of escalating tension since Iran launched 180 missiles at Israeli military facilities early this month.
Washington urged its ally to restrict the response to military sites, avoiding targeting power, oil, and nuclear facilities, and the US administration intensified its consultations with Tel Aviv in recent days to coordinate regarding the Israeli response executed at dawn today.
