Several Kurdish parties and civil society organizations issued a joint charter regarding the future of Syria and the Kurdish issue following a meeting held in the Austrian capital, Vienna.

In their statement, these parties noted the discussion of the political program and internal regulations for forming a new political body that reflects the aspirations of the Kurdish people in Syrian Kurdistan.

They emphasized that this anticipated political body would serve as a genuine representative of the independent Syrian Kurdish identity, free from external agendas. Below is the text of the joint statement regarding the Vienna meeting:

"On the 19th and 20th of this month, an expanded meeting was held in Vienna, Austria, with the participation of several Kurdish parties and civil society organizations. The goal was to discuss a common political vision regarding Syria in general and the Kurdish issue in particular, as well as ways to enhance dialogue and cooperation among different Kurdish factions.

The meeting included in-depth and fruitful discussions on the fundamental issues facing the Kurdish people in Syria and the current situation they are experiencing, with a primary focus on formulating a shared political vision that represents the aspirations and hopes of the Kurds for the future of Syria. Following these constructive discussions, the attendees reached an agreement on a joint political document that lays the foundation for the future of the Kurds in Syria, safeguarding their rights within a democratic federal framework that respects national, sectarian, ethnic, and religious diversity while upholding and promoting human rights, except for representatives of the Kurdish Democratic Building Movement in Syria and the Khobun Movement, who requested to refer back to the leadership of their respective movements for a final decision.

The political program and internal regulations for establishing a new political entity that embodies the aspirations of the Kurdish people in Syrian Kurdistan were also discussed. This forthcoming political body is expected to be a true representative of the independent Syrian Kurdish identity, free from external influences, and aims to strengthen Kurdish unity while working towards achieving the national goals of the Kurdish people in Syria.

We, the parties and organizations gathered here, affirm our commitment to continue working diligently and continuously to build a better future for our Kurdish people, collaborating hand-in-hand with all Syrian components to achieve peace and justice in the future Syria. We invite other national Kurdish forces, including parties and civil society organizations, to join us in signing this joint document.

The signing parties and organizations include:

- The Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Al-Parti)
- The Kurdistan Freedom Movement
- The Kurdish National Peace Movement in Syria
- The Kurdaiti Movement in Syria
- The Human Rights Organization in Syria (Maf)
