Israeli Military Operations Intensify in Southern Lebanon Amid Rising Tensions

Israeli airstrikes continue in southern Lebanon, with the Israel Defense Forces Radio reporting today, Sunday, that Israeli forces have expanded the scope of their ground operations. The radio announced that "the military conducted intensive air and artillery strikes in the region," noting the discovery of Hezbollah weapon depots within Lebanese territory.
At the same time, Hezbollah claimed it fired artillery shells targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers in a border town. In response, Israeli media reported that military helicopters transported injured soldiers to a hospital in the city of Haifa. Additionally, correspondents from "Al Arabiya" and "Al Hadath" reported the launch of several rockets by Hezbollah towards northern Israel, with air defenses successfully intercepting some of these projectiles. Reports indicated a precise strike on a site in the Kiryat area near an Israeli military facility.
In a related context, the National News Agency reported that an Israeli airstrike early Sunday morning resulted in the destruction of a mosque in southern Lebanon, part of the intensive air campaign that Israel has been conducting in the region over recent weeks. The Red Cross also announced injuries and damage among its crew members following an Israeli strike in the south.
Hezbollah confirmed today that it engaged in clashes with Israeli forces attempting to infiltrate the village of Ramya in southern Lebanon. A third soldier from the United Nations peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) was also reported injured amid the ongoing escalation between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah.
Sources from "Al Arabiya" and "Al Hadath" indicated that clashes continue between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli forces trying to enter the town of Ramya, with heavy gunfire reported between the areas of Aita al-Shaab and Ramya.
