Israeli Airstrikes Target Syrian Regime Positions in Daraa Countryside
Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes on Syrian regime positions in the Daraa countryside on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in several injuries.
A reporter for Syria TV stated that the airstrikes targeted military sites belonging to the regime in the Daraa and Sweida countrysides, adding that initial reports indicate there were injuries.
The Israeli strikes focused on a radar system in the Tel Kharoof area, east of the town of Nahatheh in eastern Daraa, leading to its destruction and injuring one regime soldier.
Additionally, the airstrikes also hit the Izraa agricultural airfield and the radar battalion of the 79th Air Defense Brigade located between the city of Samin and the town of Quneitra in northern Daraa, resulting in two injuries, according to the "Horan Free Gathering" website.
For its part, the "Sweida 24" network reported that Israeli aircraft targeted the eastern gate of the Tafa military airport in the western countryside, noting that sounds of anti-aircraft fire were heard in the area.
These airstrikes come just hours after an Israeli attack on sites in Damascus, which resulted in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to nine others.
The Ministry of Defense in the regime government reported that at approximately 02:05 on Tuesday morning, the Israeli army launched an air attack using warplanes and drones from the direction of the occupied Golan Heights, targeting several points in the city of Damascus.
The source claimed that air defense systems intercepted the Israeli missiles and shot down most of them, adding that the attack resulted in three fatalities and nine injuries along with significant material damage.
Local sources indicated that the attack targeted a vehicle near the French Garden in the Mezzeh neighborhoods, while the Israeli newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that the strike was an assassination operation, without providing further details.
