Israeli Airstrikes Target Brigade 110 in Latakia
غارات إسرائيلية تستهدف اللواء 110 في اللاذقية

Early on Thursday, Israeli forces launched a series of airstrikes targeting Brigade 110 in the coastal city of Latakia, western Syria.

Our correspondent reported that six consecutive strikes hit the brigade, which includes war vessels and weapon depots belonging to the former regime. The reporter also noted that reconnaissance aircraft, believed to be Israeli, continue to fly over the area.

In a related context, the Syrian news agency (SANA) reported that "Israeli occupation planes targeted several areas around the white port and the city of Latakia," pointing out that the relevant authorities in the city are working to verify whether there were any casualties as a result of these airstrikes.

There has been no immediate comment from the Syrian Ministry of Defense regarding the recent Israeli airstrikes, nor has Tel Aviv claimed responsibility for the attacks or clarified their objectives.

In another development, seven people were killed due to an Israeli shelling targeting the western countryside of Daraa last Tuesday, just hours after Israeli forces targeted T4 military airport and sites in the countryside of Homs.

For several months, Syria has witnessed nearly continuous daily airstrikes by Israel, leading to the deaths of civilians and the destruction of military sites, vehicles, and ammunition belonging to the Syrian army. Israel claims that its targets are aimed at preventing weapons from reaching the new authorities in Damascus.
