Israel on High Alert Following Confirmation of Hassan Nasrallah's Death
After Hezbollah officially confirmed the death of its leader Hassan Nasrallah, along with Ali Kourki, who was responsible for the southern front, Israel announced that it is on high alert in anticipation of all scenarios.
Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari stated at a press conference on Saturday that Hezbollah is experiencing a state of severe shock following the death of its leader.
He emphasized that the military is prepared to face all possible scenarios with Iran, both in terms of defense and attack, saying, "We are in a high state of alert around the clock."
In the same context, Israeli officials advised citizens against gathering for large celebrations, adding that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has approved restrictions on gatherings in central Israel, limiting attendance to no more than one thousand people.
The military had earlier announced that it had increased its readiness in preparation for any escalation on multiple fronts.
It is worth noting that the assassination of Nasrallah came after days of severe strikes against the group, revealing an unprecedented security breach. Thousands of radios used by his operatives exploded on September 17 and 18, followed by several assassination attempts targeting prominent leaders within Hezbollah, including Ibrahim Aql, commander of the Radwan unit, along with 15 others from this elite unit, as well as Ibrahim Qabisi and others.
