Iran condemns Israel's recent attack on Damascus

The Asharq Al-Awsat reported, Iran has condemned Israel's recent attack on the Syrian capital of Damascus. The semi-official ISNA news agency said on Wednesday, quoting foreign ministry spokesperson Saeed Khatibzadeh.

Syria's defense ministry said that Israel fired several missiles toward Syrian military positions near Damascus Monday, killing two civilians and causing material damage. It was the first Israeli attack inside Syria since Russia, a key backer of President Bashar Assad, invaded Ukraine.

Syrian state media says air defense responds to ‘Israeli aggression’

The Syrian defense ministry said Israeli warplanes flying over neighboring Lebanon fired the missiles toward Syria.
