Eastern Ukrainian town of Volnovakha completely destroyed after Russia invasion
Donetsk governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said on Saturday, the eastern Ukrainian town of Volnovakha has been completely destroyed following the Russian invasion but fighting continues for territory there to prevent a Russian encirclement, Metro US reported, citing Reuters.
On day 17 of Russian invasion, the Euromaidan Press reported that in Luhansk Oblast, the entire territory, which is under the control of Ukraine is being shelled. Dozens of civilians were killed. Ukrainian army holds central Severodonetsk city and surrounding but 70% of the region is occupied (35% was before 2022).

It noted that since the beginning of hostilities, 31 battalion-tactical groups of the enemy operating on the territory of Ukraine have lost their combat capability.
