Al-Qaradawi's Son Sparks ..Controversy with Anti-Saudi, Emirati, and Egyptian Remarks from Inside the Umayyad Mosque
عبدالرحمن بن يوسف القرضاوي

A video featuring Abdul Rahman al-Qaradawi, the son of Islamic thinker Yusuf al-Qaradawi, has sparked widespread controversy on social media after his appearance in one of the oldest Islamic mosques, the Umayyad Mosque in Damascus. Al-Qaradawi launched a scathing attack on Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt, which was met with significant outrage from citizens and activists.

These remarks come after the ousting of Bashar al-Assad's regime, leading some observers to view the video as a politically sensitive message with intertwined implications.

Following the video's circulation, well-known activist Abdul Jalil Al-Saeed commented: "Oh Abdul Rahman, and the new Syrian authorities must hold accountable anyone who dares to use Syrian soil as a launching pad for foreign ideas."

This incident highlights the attempt by some individuals to exploit religious platforms for political purposes, which further complicates the security and political situation in Syria.

Abdul Jalil emphasized in his statements the importance of countering such phenomena, stressing the need to protect national security from external influences that could threaten the stability of the country.
