2026 World Cup Qualification: 7 Teams Secure Their Spots

Following the conclusion of the matches on Tuesday, the number of teams that have qualified for the 2026 World Cup has risen to seven, including the three host nations.

Canada, the United States, and Mexico have qualified automatically as they are the host countries for the tournament.

In the Asian qualifiers, Japan was the first team to secure its place in the 2026 World Cup, while Iran advanced after drawing with Uzbekistan, with a final score of 2-2.

In Oceania, New Zealand achieved an important milestone by qualifying after finishing at the top of the regional qualifiers, making it the second team to qualify alongside Japan.


Argentina also made headlines with its qualification, having secured its position early by defeating Brazil with a commanding score of 4-1, topping the South American qualifiers with a comfortable points lead.

Thus, the current list of teams qualified for the 2026 World Cup is as follows:

- Japan, Iran (Asia)

- Argentina (South America)
